Students Get Ready For Camp
Staff In Training
Crossings is offering a new program option for graduated seniors in 2009! Staff in Training is a new experience where graduated seniors will shadow Summer Staffers and help facilitate POIs, Bible Study, kitchen and grounds operations, activities - anything that Summer Staffers do!
Who is Staff In Training for?
Staff in Training is just for graduated seniors (those who have completed grade 12), but the program may not suit everyone. If you feel you exhibit leadership potential and spiritual maturity, talk with your group leader or student minister about being a part of Staff in Training.
Why Staff In Training?
- Leadership Experience - This is a great way to build your leadership confidence and a great element to add to a college resume.
- Sample the Summer Staff experience - Check out what it's really like to work at camp. Then you'll know next year when you apply to be on Summer Staff all summer long!
- Meet other students from your future college home - You might as well get a head start on meeting people!
- Experience a new side of camp - If you've been to camp for several years now, you may still want to come to camp but have a different experience than in years past.
Cost?
The cost for Staff in Training is the same registration cost for all campers. No extra expense is required. You will lodge with your church group, and will spend the majority of your day with Summer Staffers.
How can I get involved in Staff In Training?
Staff in Training seniors are selected by your group leader or student minister and approved by Crossings. Talk with your group leader and see if Staff in Training would be a good fit for you this summer!
