Camp 40!

Today marked the end of Crossings first camp 40 of the summer and what a great weekend it turned out to be! Churches arrived on campus beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday. The 40 hours of fun kicked off at 7 p.m. with opening celebration where the students heard about this years theme and met their bible study leaders for the first time. During Friday night's worship session, the students learned about the charateristics of their heavenly Father and His gospel story. The discussion was carried over to each church's checkpoint time. The night then ended with hang out time at the shack and two hours of night climb at the climbing tower.

Saturday was a fun-filled, jam-packed day! It kickd off with a high-energy morning celebration. The students spent the rest of the morning in bible study discussing how once they are adopted by the Father, they become part of a new family, the church. After lunch, the students spent the afternoon in POI's, such as messy games, bazooka ball, zip lines and more. Then everyone gathered at the lake for swimming, zipping and blobing!

After getting refueled with dinner on the lawn, everyone headed back to the chapel for more time of bible study and worship. This time the students learned about how they are heirs of a king and how they have a new and wonderful inheritance in Him! After a great time of fellowship with churches at checkpoint, everyone gathered at the basketball courts for Crossings second annual square dance! Laughter covered the basketball court as we all danced the night away.

But the night was not over after the square dance, more fun was still to come! Everyone headed back to ther rooms to change for Midnight Slurge Fest where we all got to play in the mud and wash off by going down a huge slip-n-slide. What greater way to end an amazing weekend!

This morning the students met their bible study leaders for one more lesson where they talked about their future in Christ. After bible study, we all came together in the worship center for closing celebration and a final session with the camp pastor, Dave Paxton.

A full week of camp packed into 40 fun-filled hours, what could be better!
