Child-like faith

Yesteday was an amazing day one here at Cedarmore. We spent the day talking about God as our Father and how we become His adopted children. The day started with a high-energy morning celebration hosted by the cast of Crossings very own 524 News. The rest of the morning was spent in large and small group bible study where we talked about being born as orphans and how we are adopted by God.

After lunch, everyone got ready to spend a fun day out in the sun. Students went to their POI's, swam at the lake and met with their churches in connect time. Everyone had a great day and had many opportunities to learn even more about the characteristics of God the Father.

Evening worship was incredible. Our camp pastor, Jared Kennedy, really wrapped up the day's theme in his sermon. Last night was also Stage Night down at the shack. Students from all different churches performed their talents on stage for everyone to enjoy.

It is only day two, but it has already been an outstanding week so far. Continue praying for these students as they learn what it means to be about of God's family today. Also, we will take up the India missions offering tonight, so be in prayer for that as well. I cannot wait to update you all tomorrow as we close out an amazing week of kid's camp!

Jesus you're my superhero

Yesterday was an incredible day here at Cedarmore. We ended our first week of kids camp and began a new week. During closing celebration, our missions total for last week was revealed. We raised a total of $4,890.38! Praise God! This past week was definitely a blessing to so many of us. We saw many students come to know the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ for the first time!

Also yesterday, 4 hours after students left, more students arrived. We now have a total of 518 new students and leaders here at Cedarmore from 28 different churches! It was a wonderful opening night for the students. They met their bible study leaders and spent time worshipping together.

Thank you so much for your prayers last week, they were much appreciated. Please begin to pray for the students here this week. Pray that they too will come to understand and know God more fully as well. Also, pray for the student's leaders as they are spending this week building lasting relationships with their students.

Kids camp!

Yesterday was the first day of kid's camp at here at Cedarmore. Churches arrived on property in the afternoon and brought a total of 584 students and leaders. For kid's week the students range between grades 3rd through 6th.

Students spent the afternoon playing outside and getting to hang out with the Crossings' staff. They had the opportunity to get their faces painted, pie a staffer in the face and even dunk a staffer in a dunk tank.

After dinner, everyone gathered in the worship center for opening celebration and the students got to meet their bible study leaders for the first time. Bible studies then met together for about 30 minutes getting to know each other and their leaders. After bible study, everyone went back to the worship center for a time of worship and to hear from this week's camp pastor, Johnathan Haeger.

It is going to be an amazing week here at Cedarmore. The energy is high and so is the excitment. Please begin to pray for the students this week. Pray that they will be open to hear the gospel as it is taught today and throughout the rest of the week. Also, pray for the safety of everyone as we spend the afternoon playing outside and having fun at POIs!
