today-at-camp

Not the end, only the beginning!

What an amazing week it has been!  This week at Crossings we saw over 30 kids cross over from death to life by beginning a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!

Students left this morning around 10:30 to travel home.  Our prayer for the campers was for them leave camp different than when they arrived.  Praise God for meeting our requests and changing lives.  It is clear God worked this week as we challenged the kids to go BEYOND.

The staff is finished cleaning and now it's time for us to pack up as well.  It has been a blessing to share with you this summer.  Thank you for all your prayers and support!  Continue to lift up Cedarmore as students will be on and off campus throughout the year.  Until next time!

Last Full Day!

It is a beautiful summer day in July here at Cedarmore!  Last night closed out with an amazing talent show put on by our kids here at camp.  There were fun camp songs and silly skits performed.  Who knew we had all that talent here this week.

We have just finished our morning Bible studies where the kids were taught that they are not made right with God through their actions.  They can only be right with God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our prayer is that kids will think about this throughout the day and see their need to have Jesus as their LORD.

Activities will run as sheduled throughout the afternoon.  Tonight we will have BBQ sandwiches out on the grounds before our annual Slurgefest!  During Slurgefest students will be covered from head to toe in a giant mud pit and then hosed off as they ride down a huge slippin' slide!

Continue to pray for us as we finish out strong on this last full day!  We are excited to see all God has in store and look forward to great moments and memories that will last a lifetime!

In Him,

Cedarmore Staff

Full Swing Ahead

It is a cool Thursday afternoon here at Crossing Kids Week 2009!  Yesterday consisted of lots of rain as we welcomed 579 campers onto the grounds until Saturday.

The campers were fed cheeseburgers and hotdogs before our first evening worship service.  Kids were introduced to their Bible Study leaders that they will be spending time with throughout the week.  The kids are divided by age and gender with kids from other churches.

It is lunch time right now for the campers.  After lunch they will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities from time at the waterfront to rock climbing.  Pray that the rain holds off so all can go according to schedule.

Tonight will be our annual stage night where kids will be able to showcase their talents!  We are excited about all that is in store for this week!  Pray that among all the activities the students will be challenged by the Gospel.  Our prayer is to see students cross over from death to life!

This morning we talked a lot about sin.  We told the students about their seperation from God due to their sin.  Pray that tonight they will experience their need for their savior!

In Him,
