Jonathan Creek Facilities

 

Ellison Lodge

Ellison Lodge is tucked away off the main road in a wooded area with several other lodges. Just a quick walk from all major points on the Jonathan Creek campus, Ellison Lodge is great for groups needing comfortable lodging with a place to fellowship.

Lodging

  • Total maximum capacity: 55
  • 7 rooms holding up to 7 guests and 1 room holding 6 guests
  • Private bath in all rooms
  • Handicapped-accessible room available

Meeting

  • Common area in the middle of the lodge has several seating areas and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and coffee maker.

Gray Motel

The Gray Motel, our motel-style accomodation, boasts the best views on campus. From the large rear deck, guests overlook a large grassy area leading to a panorama view of the lake.

Lodging

  • Total maximum capacity: 334
  • Each room has a private bath and holds up to 7 people.
  • Camp setup: 3 bunk beds, 1 twin (Room 112 - 2 bunk beds, Room 113 - 4 bunk beds)
  • Retreat setup options:
    • 3 bunk beds, 1 twin
    • 2 bunk beds, 1 queen, 1 twin

Hurst Lodge

Lone Oak Lodge

Lone Oak Lodge is tucked away off the main road in a wooded area with several other lodges.  Just a quick walk from all major points on the Jonathan Creek campus, Lone Oak Lodge offers a great view of the lake from the front deck.

  • 6 rooms with 7 beds
  • Private bath in all rooms

Waller Dorm

Waller Dorm is located on the north side of campus, just steps from the Price Dining Hall and other main points on campus.  With traditional dorm-style living, this lodging is best for large groups looking for value.

New for 2010 - New roof and updated showers. More remodeling is expected in the fall!

Lodging

  • Total maximum capacity: 150
  • The dorm has 3 wings; each wing holds 50 people.
  • There are bathrooms at the end of each wing. Each wing has:
    • 2 rooms of toilets and sinks
    • 2 rooms of 3 showers each

Meeting

  • Common area is a comfortable place for guests to fellowship.

A.M. Johnson Worship Center

A.M. Johnson Worship Center is fully-equipped for conferences and other events requiring sound system, stage, theater lighting and video capabilities.  Breakout rooms are also available.

New for 2010 - expanded worship area with theater style seating for over 640, with new breakout rooms

  • Maximum seating capacity: 640
  • Full sound system, stage, lighting, and projection video
  • Several breakout rooms with capacity from 20-90 people

J Cafe

With wireless internet, a large screen tv, leather sofas, and high-top tables, J-Cafe is the perfect place for adults to get together, drink great coffee, and relax.

Lassiter Conference Center

Lassiter Conference Center is a well-equipped facility for small or larger breakout groups.  It is centrally located directly next to the Dining Hall which makes Lassiter Conference Center the perfect place to host your small groups or conference breakout sessions.

  • 4 rooms, each holding up to 50 guests
  • Alternate setup - 2 rooms each holding 100 guests
  • Restroom facilities and water fountain
  • Whiteboards, tables, and chairs provided
  • Mounted Plasma TVs, DVD players, and small sound systems in each room

Price Dining Hall, completed in 2006, offers buffet-style, all-you-can-eat service, soda fountains, and a salad bar.

Shoemake Chapel

Shoemake Chapel is an intermediate size meeting space with both large and small group areas.  With its distinctive large windows in the upper level, Shoemake offers beautiful views while gathering together.

  • Small group rooms hold 15-30 guests
  • Sound system, projector, screen (computer not provided)
  • Men's and Women's restrooms on each floor

Cedarmore Facilities

Boone Lodge

Boone Lodge is a main point on the Cedarmore campus; it houses guest rooms, the Crossings Cafe, and the Dining Hall. The beautiful view from the back deck overlooks a forested ravine and offers vivid sunsets.

  • Maximum capacity per room: 8
  • Each room has a private bathroom
  • Options:
    Retreat: Queen and 2 bunks
    Camp: 4 bunk beds

  • Lower level has 3 partitioned meeting rooms which can be converted into one large space.

Evergreen Cabins

Evergreen Cabins (Spruce, Pine and Cedar) are quietly tucked inside the treeline for a private feel. These three cabins are located next to Fields Cabin, a quick walk to Byrdwell Conference Center.

Lodging

  • 3 cabins holding 24 guests each
  • Each side of cabin has a bathroom
  • Bunk beds only (6 on each side of cabin)

Fields Cabin

Fields Cabin, completed in 2006, is located on one of the highest points on the Cedarmore Main Campus. With its log cabin feel, Fields Cabin offers comfortable lodging and a front deck to enjoy the scenery.

Lodging

  • Total maximum capacity: 36
  • Cabin sleeps 18 on each side
  • Both sides of cabin have a multi-stall bathroom
  • Bunk beds only (9 bunks on each side)

Great for men’s groups, youth retreats or anyone wanting the “cabin” feel without roughing it!

Meeting

  • Small gathering space in the middle of the cabin has a small kitchenette complete with refrigerator, sink, and microwave.
  • Several places to sit and fellowship.

Williams-Wallace Lodge

Williams-Wallace Lodge, completed in 2007, is in the center of the Cedarmore Main Campus on a hill overlooking Boone Lodge. The back deck area is a great place to fellowship and enjoy the natural forest surroundings.

Cedarcrest Campus

The CedarCrest campus is located at the front of Cedarmore, before the Main Campus. It is just a short walk or shorter drive from the main dining facility. Completely surrounded by trees, each CedarCrest space offers solitude, peace and the sounds of nature.

Byrdwell Conference Center

Renovated in 2010, the Byrdwell Conference Center now boasts a large meeting space along with conference rooms. The large meeting space includes a theatre-style stage, widescreen front displays, sound and lighting. It is an ideal venue for groups of 150-250 people.

  • Minimum 150 guests to rent
  • Stage, small sound system (good for speaking), lighting and rear projection screens are provided.

Crossings Cafe

Crossings Cafe, located in Boone Lodge, is a great place for adults to relax and fellowship in a warm, coffee house environment. Fresh coffee is brewed daily and the widescreen television with dvd player and surround sound make for excellent movie nights.

Fields Conference Center

The Fields Conference Center is a state-of-the-art meeting space with widescreen televisions in every room. This space, great for small groups or larger meetings, is just a short walk from any of the main campus lodgings.

    • Triple room capacity: 150

Martha Ware Chapel

The Martha Ware Chapel is located inside the CedarCrest campus. The chapel is set on a hillside with a beautiful view of the woods and serves as a space for meetings and worship services.
